This policy explains what personal information T&Y Website Engineers (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects when you use this website or engage us, how we use it, and the rights you have. We process personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

01Information we collect

We only collect what we need to respond to you and deliver our work:

• Details you give us directly, such as your name, business name, email address, phone number and the project information you submit through our quote form or send by WhatsApp or email.
• Basic technical information your browser sends automatically, such as your device type and general location, used to keep the site working and secure.

02How we use your information

We use your information to prepare and send you a quote, to communicate with you about your project, to deliver our services (including arranging photography and video shoots), and to keep records of the work we do for you. We do not sell your information, and we will not add you to a marketing or newsletter list unless you have clearly opted in. If we ever introduce a newsletter, it will be opt-in only and every email will include a one-click unsubscribe.

03Cookies & tracking

We keep tracking to the absolute minimum. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics or behavioural profiling on this site.

• Your cookie choice is saved in your browser's local storage so we don't ask you again on every visit. This stays on your device and is not shared with anyone.
• Some content on the site (web fonts, images and our secure quote form) is loaded from the trusted third parties listed below. Loading that content means your IP address is visible to those providers, purely so they can serve the content to you.

You can clear or block this at any time through your browser settings, or reopen the cookie notice using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.

04Third-party services we rely on

To run this site and deliver our work we use a small number of reputable providers, each acting only to perform their function:

• EmailJS: delivers your quote-form submission to our inbox.
• Cloudflare: hosts and secures the website.
• Fontshare and image delivery networks: serve the fonts and photographs you see on the site.
• Shopify and PayFast: used where your project is an online store, under their own terms and privacy policies.

We only share your personal information with a provider where it is necessary to deliver our service to you, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

05Media we capture for your project

Where your package includes photography and videography, we capture media of your products, premises and business for use on your website. We agree with you upfront how that media will be used, and we will not use it for unrelated purposes without your permission.

06How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

07Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to withdraw consent, and to object to how we use it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

08Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information against loss, unauthorised access and misuse. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information at every stage.
